HR GO sponsors Ashford MP's jobs fairs

Damian Green, MP for Ashford, stopped to chat to staff at the HR GO Recruitment stand as hundreds flocked to his annual Jobs Fair in February. The Ashford-based business with branches across Kent and the UK was the event’s headline sponsor.

Mr Green spoke to Jack Parkinson, (HR GO plc executive chairman), Roddy Barrow (Group Managing Director), Carly James (Principal Consultant at the Ashford branch) and Emilia Baxter (Ashford Branch Administrator)

More than 250 jobseekers attended the show at Ashford College, spending time at the stands hosted by a wide range of organisations, including HR GO. More than 30 businesses were offering permanent jobs, apprenticeships and voluntary roles.

HR GO alerted jobseekers to dozens of vacancies in the Ashford area, especially those in the hospitality sector, including managers and chefs.

Carly James said: “We were delighted to welcome Damian Green to our stand. The fair was a great success and offered a great opportunity to speak to people looking for jobs or seeking a new role.

“Ashford is an exciting place to be and offers lots of new opportunities. We were delighted to sponsor the event and look forward to being part of it next year.”

Mr Green said: “I have been really grateful for HR GO’s sponsorship of the Jobs Fair for the past two years. They are a key part of the employment scene in Ashford and I am always pleased to work with them to help the company fulfil its mission of helping Ashford people find work.

“I am delighted both with the numbers that came and the positive response of the potential employers. It looks like we linked scores of people with new opportunities, and I wish them all well in their search for new horizons.”
