Yard Operative / Material Handler

• Salary: Up to £26,364 pa (to £13.00 p/hr, plus overtime to £19.50 per hour)
• Location: Cambourne, Cambridgeshire area - Own transport required due to location
• Permanent Position

This dynamic and hands-on position encompasses a range of responsibilities, including yard maintenance, material handling, and assisting our in-house maintenance team.

The ideal candidate must thrive in a team environment, whether in our production facility or at client sites, and must be well-versed in all aspects of Health & Safety, Production, Inspection, and Discipline.

It is essential for candidates to have a current forklift licence.

General Objectives and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring cleanliness of the factory yard.
• Assisting the maintenance department.
• Packing and picking duties.
• Supporting various sections of the factory and office as needed.
• Performing gardening tasks such as grass cutting.
• Operating forklifts for loading and unloading materials and products.

Salary Range:

• Up to £26,364 pa

Overtime:

• Overtime is available, typically paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate on weekdays and Saturday mornings.

Working Hours:

• Monday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
• Tuesday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
• Wednesday & Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm.
• Friday: 7:30 am - 12.00 noon (unless working overtime).
