Trainee Mobile Radio Coordinator / Van Driver - Full training given
Our client, located in Bishop's Stortford, specialises in supplying two-way radio communication systems tailored for the rail industry. They offer on-site communication solutions specifically designed for railway operations during weekend maintenance works on the rail network in the East Anglian region.
This position involves working 3 out of 4 weekends per month and bank holidays. This includes working both night and day shifts.
We are looking to recruit a Trainee Mobile Radio Coordinator / Van Driver (two in total) and full training will be provided.
As a Trainee Mobile Radio Coordinator / Van Driver you will be responsible for maintaining, managing and assisting with all the on-site two-way radio communication requirements across the East Anglian rail network, typically covering weekend maintenance works.
Typical working week is Thursday to Sunday (including Weekends and Bank Holidays), working 3 out of 4 weekends per month and Bank Holidays. This is split between working on various sites across the London, East Anglia and Kent regions on a weekend and based at the office in Bishop's Stortford when not out on site.
When not working on the weekend shift, you will work Monday to Friday at the Bishop's Stortford office preparing the communication equipment and vehicles for the weekend site work.
Applicants will need to be reliable, trustworthy, have a full UK driving licence and be happy to do shift work (nights and days) and be available to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month, including bank holidays.
Due to the nature of the work involved, the Trainee Mobile Radio Coordinator / Van Driver will be driving the company van from the office in Bishop's Stortford to various railway stations or railway locations in the London, East Anglian and Kent regions. Overnight accommodation is provided depending on the location.
Required:
Work Pattern: 40 hours per week
Starting Salary: £23,795 pa, plus overtime; offering excellent earning potential.
Salary increases to £27,000 after successfully completing the three-month probationary period.
