Our client based in Corby - Northants is looking for physically fit

TIG Welder and Workshop Operative.

Hours: Mon - Thurs 7.30am -16.30 Fri 7.30am - 14.30

Salary: 15.00ph, plus good rates of overtime pay

Holidays: 20 days + 8 bank holidays

• Engineering experience (welding & fabrication)
• Excellent Interpersonal skills
• Good understanding H&S (i.e. Risk Assessments)
• Excellent time keeping skills

Job Description

• Working from drawings
• Sheet metal fabrication

Role / Duties

We require skilled stainless steel TIG welders any other welding ability is a bonus.

Required to work within the Food industry with high expectations for quality, clean, aesthetically pleasing welds.

Must have a basic understanding of high care and low care food production areas or willing to learn the stringent hygiene procedures and processes required to work within this industry.

Will be required to understand and work from drawings.

Be able to measure bespoke fabrication i.e., stainless steel chute, tables, framework etc.

Required to measure, fabricate, and polish (start to finish fabrication) including use of break press, guillotine.

While working within the food industry and around food production shift patterns,

Candidate must be available and happy to work overtime for installation of fabricated items around these shift patterns.

We are looking for a skilled welder fabricator with experience and presents themselves well and has good communication skills to represent the company in front of customers on site.
