Position: Senior Project Manager

Location: Bromborough

Hours: Monday - Friday

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 P/A DOE

Contract: Permanent

Due to growth and success, we are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our client based on the Wirral.

My client specialises in managing and delivering engineering, automation, and turnkey projects across a variety of sectors. With over 45 years of industry experience across mechanical, electrical and process engineering disciplines.

About the role:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will manage multiple strategic projects, ensuring these are delivered in line with our company vision and strategy. To include the management of deliverables and milestones, co-ordination of new projects, life-cycle management and regular reporting mechanisms. It is vital that you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are flexible to travel across mainland UK and have a positive attitude to work, having the personal pride, motivation, and desire to deliver to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Liaising directly with senior client teams at Director and VP level
• Active risk management and mitigation planning ownership
• Assessments to provide clients with innovative ideas and engineering improvements
• Feasibility studies with client teams to provide information for project development
• Budget forecasting and CAPEX generation
• Detailed Project planning with projected outcomes and contingency planning
• Risk evaluation and mitigation management
• Ensuring outcomes are delivered to the regulatory standards and working to best practises
• Co-ordination of work, including ensuring alignment with other client member, project team members and key stakeholders
• Ensure projects run on time and to budget
• Controlling change requests affecting project deliverables as and when necessary
• Ensuring that projects deliver the expected outcomes and benefits

Skills Required:

• • Degree level education in engineering setting preferred or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrable track record of successful project delivery

  • Strong individual who can work alone and with other team members

  • An excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail

  • Proactive, results-driven with a collaborative, supportive attitude

  • Experience of working at the strategic levels of an organisation with senior leaders

  • Strong Microsoft office and IT skills

  • Flexibility to work around mainland UK in line with client requirements

  • Minimum of 3 year's experience of Project Management role

  • Experience of leading CDM projects
