Job Title: Machine Technician (Manufacturing sector) Location: Cumbernauld, Glasgow Job Type: Permanent/Full time - 38 Hours per week (Including breaks) (Annual hours contract that requires flexibility on hours - This can be explained at interview), Core hours Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 16:00 , there will also be requirements to work 06:00 - 14:00 on a Friday as required. Salary: £27,664 per annum
Job Purpose: Responsible for the safe operation of relevant machinery in keeping with company procedures and to the satisfaction of the supervisor/management. Keep machines operating to the highest possible standard to minimise downtime and waste to a minimum whilst keeping in line with the companies training procedures ensuring safe working at all times.
Duties Include:
To run the machinery and maintain high levels of performance, safety standards and housekeeping
Achievement of production plan and associated customer commitments in conjunction with team leaders and production
Loading on materials and consumables (glue/board/wraps)
Correct consumption of materials in accordance with procedures to ensure stock accuracy.
Correct use of systems to facilitate appropriate processes and accurate record keeping in line with production procedures
Carry out companies preventive maintenance plan for given machinery, including daily and weekly tasks
Responsible for the Daily start up and wash down procedures being carried out ensuring machines are ready for production start on time
Communicate effectively and support production teams and team leaders to achieve the plan
Endeavour to keep waste levels to an absolute minimum and continually work towards reducing
Comply with any other reasonable request made by management
