Hours of work are:

7.30am-4pm

10.30am-7pm

12.30noon - 9pm

9pm-7.30am

Working a 9 weekly shift pattern. Must be flexible also.

Pay : £14.00ph paid weekly

DBS certificate dated within last 3 months is required for this role. If no DBS available , we can apply one at cost of £27.

Job Outline:

The role of the Team Leader Porter is to:

Oversee and support the rest of the portering team reporting any issues to the Service Support Manager

Ensure that all portering tasks are completed in accordance with the contractual obligations

• Transport patients, equipment and goods as required

● Take part in and assist with the implementation of the Trust's emergency procedures.

The Ideal Candidate need:

*Experience working in a hospital environment in the portering service.

Transfer patients using appropriate equipment. Escort patients, visitors or staff as appropriate. Assist patients and visitors in and out of vehicles as requested.

▪ Assist with the transference of deceased (dead) patients to the mortuary.

▪ Provide a collection and delivery service for specimens, blood products, medical records and any other items related to patient care as directed on the Hospital Site.

▪ Collect sort and deliver mail throughout the Hospital. Sort and where appropriate frank mail for onward distribution.

▪ Move furniture and equipment etc, within and between and throughout the Hospital Site, as and when necessary or required, ensuring that items such as patient trolleys, beds and wheelchairs etc are in correct areas at all times.
