Our Client based in Dover, is looking for a Senior Customs Clearance Team Leader to join their team. This will suit a person with full knowledge of customs procedures and principles. Excellent communication skills and an excellent knowledge of Microsoft office. You must be fully conversant with all aspects of Customs procedures and will build and develop strong working relationships. In-house training and support in all aspects of the job will be given.

Your Responsibilities:

• Calculating Duty/VAT cost for each consignment.

• Processing Import/Export declarations (Home Use/CFSP/NCTS/Permanent Export).

• Dealing with general enquiries from importers/exporters concerning all areas relating to Customs Procedures i.e. Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates and any other documentation requirements.

• Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and Customs procedures.

• Answer HMRC Declaration queries as and when they arise.

• Assist the Customs Compliance Manager in ensuring entries are completed correctly.

• Provide basic customs clearance training to new operatives.

• Monitor employee productivity on a day-to-day basis.
