Our client based on the outskirts of Dover is recruiting a Chef to run a two- person shift on a rota system working 5 days out of 7, 42 hours per week.
Duties include:
Operating own shift service, food preparation and cooking of meals to order
Operate effective cafe opening and closing procedures
Overall responsibility for the restaurant and kitchen during your shift
Assist menu planning, scheduling and preparation of daily special dishes
Monitoring stock levels and ordering processes in accordance with best practise
Monitor supplier performance
Explore opportunities for cost saving
Promote the cafe with excellent customer service and quality cooking.
Assist with training and development
Ensure the cafe is run in a professional manner
And other jobs and tasks requested by management as and when required.
