Teachright are looking for a behaviour mentor to work with young adults aged 16 - 25. This role will see you working in a specialist provision with the goal of helping these young adults with complex social, emotional and physical disabilities gain qualifications to gain employment.
This small specialist provision works to improve the employability of disadvantaged 16 - 25 year olds through practical training in Horticulture and Catering.
For this position you will require a driving license as public transport routes do not go past this school.
As a behaviour mentor you'll work on a group or one-to-one basis with young adults. This job typically involves supporting students who struggle with behaviour management. Typically, these particular students in this setting are not physical in their behaviour but with language.
Your job role will include:
It may be an advantage to have professional qualifications or training in areas such as health, psychology, education, guidance, or youth or social work.
You will need to demonstrate a good standard of general education, and you will need Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.

Pay & Working Hours
Sessional or relief teaching assistants are typically paid between £9.50 and £11.50 per hour. Income figures are intended as a guide only.
Full-time Teaching Assistants usually work between 32 & 35 hours per week. Starting the school day at 8.30am and finishing at 3.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, but it may become permanent at a later date upon school discretion.
