HRGO are currently recruiting for an Assistant Buyer for the East of England Ambulance Service.

The post holder will provide clerical and administrative support to the Procurement Department. Processing of orders and requisitions onto the Departmental ordering system(s), ensuring compliance with end user deadlines and trust Standing Financial Instructions.

This role is temporary, with an opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.

Mon - Fri, 0900 - 1700.

Overview of the role:

• Research and analyse data, and contribute to the creation of innovative and high-quality category strategies, working with budget holders and users to influence the application of non-pay budgets outside of post holder's direct control, and make both cashable and non-cashable savings.
• To work proactively with local blue-light services; Ambulance services; and other NHS and public bodies to grow and develop collaborative procurement initiatives, without compromising Trust outcomes.
• Arranging meetings, booking rooms and maintaining a weekly diary for the Department
• Contributing in all ways to the effective functioning, general management and development of the East of England Ambulance Service.

Applicant will need:

• Excellent Administration Skills
• Attention to Detail
• Procurement background would desirable
• Customer Service training would be desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the public sector
• Good knowledge of legislation on UK and EU procurement
