HRGO Education are recruiting two enthusiastic After School Club Supervisors to join our team and provide support for primary aged pupils in Downham Market.

Ideally, one of our appointed candidates will be first aid trained and must hold their CACHE level 3 diploma. This role is ideal for those who genuinely have a passion for helping children and supporting the Extended Schools team to provide excellent extra-curricular school provision for our pupils.

The basis of this role is 10 hours per week, Term Time only and is fixed until January 2021 with a strong potential to extend permanently thereafter. We are looking for someone who demonstrates the following:

  • Previous, recent experience in an education setting preferred - but not essential
  • Basic IT skills required or the ability to acquire these with training
  • Demonstrate independence and ability to work under pressure
  • Possess excellent communication skills to work alongside staff, young people and parents
  • Ability to plan and deliver exciting and engaging activities to enrich our wraparound childcare
  • Understanding the importance of working collaboratively within a team

Pay & Working Hours

Sessional or relief teaching assistants are typically paid between £9.50 and £11.50 per hour. Income figures are intended as a guide only.

Full-time Teaching Assistants usually work between 32 & 35 hours per week. Starting the school day at 8.30am and finishing at 3.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break. After school club assistants are normal hired for 4 - 20 hours per week, and paid depending on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, but it may become permanent at a later date upon school discretion.
