Warehouse experience is essential for this role

Our client a leading and highly successful Manufacturing/ Distribution company based in Coventry in the CV5 postcode are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their successful team.

Purpose of Role

• Provide support to the warehouse supervisor unloading, loading, checking, and organisation of all goods arriving and leaving the Warehouse.
• Proactive approach to warehouse operations, to always ensure a tidy and safe environment.
• Reach Truck License essential!
• Support the spare parts team with Picking and packing of spare parts for engineers and customers.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Receiving, picking, packing, and checking customer and intercompany orders and coordinating delivery requirements.
• Handling any intercompany and customer orders via parcel and pallet carriers and specialist transport contractors.
• Booking deliveries into the carriers and transport contractors using IT systems and producing dispatch documents and labels as required.
• Supporting the sales and logistics team in picking and preparing customers equipment orders for shipment.
• Assisting with daily collections for the spares and logistics team.
• Providing holiday and sickness cover for other members of the department if required.
• Assisting in the preparation, organisation and completion of accurate yearly stock takes, and monthly cycle counting
• Checking off incoming parts deliveries and goods receipting.
• Working with the workshop to assist in equipment preparation for daily Pre-Delivery Inspection requirements.

A Reach Truck Licence would be advantageous.
