HR GO driving in Chatham are currently recruiting for a professional van driver for our client in the Dartford area. As a van driver you would be expected to have excellent time keeping skills, be polite (as this is a customer facing role), have an extensive experience of the driving industry and be comfortable with multi-drop and London driving. If you tick all those boxes then please read on. Your typical day would begin at the depot, start times vary, arriving at the depot and preparing/loading your vehicle. You should pay particular attention to how the vehicle is loaded, ensuring that it is loaded in way in which is easily accessible when you arrive at the destinations, this will involve studying the delivery notes and ensuring that your first drops are located at the front of the vehicle to ensure efficiency throughout the day. You may be required to use a hand-held scanner in order to complete the deliveries and obtain signatures from customers. You must be comfortable communicating with customers if any issues arise. Due to the nature of the role some lifting is expected of you and this can occasionally be heavier/larger items. Candidates must be able to work at a consistently fast pace, due to time restrictions throughout the course of the working day.
