Our client based on the outskirts of Dover is recruiting a Permanent Chef for an immediate start to run a two- person shift on a rota system working 5 days out of 7, 42 hours per week.

Duties include:

• Operating own shift service, food preparation and cooking of meals to order

• Operate effective cafe opening and closing procedures

• Overall responsibility for the restaurant and kitchen during your shift

• Assist menu planning, scheduling and preparation of daily special dishes

• Monitoring stock levels and ordering processes in accordance with best practise

• Monitor supplier performance

• Explore opportunities for cost saving

• Promote the cafe with excellent customer service and quality cooking.

• Assist with training and development

• Ensure the cafe is run in a professional manner

• And other jobs and tasks requested by management as and when required.

Previous catering experience is desirable and candidate must have access to own transport due shift hours.
