We are looking for a Transport Planner for our client based in Hythe. Must have proven ability within a transport environment. The ideal candidate will have haulage experience , good IT skills and excellent geographical knowledge. Must have great communication skills, experience of managing a varied workload within a transport environment, an ability to methodically plan routes and an understanding of driver's hours regulations

Duties Include

• Oversee the running of and drive growth in freight operations

• Building relationships with new and existing clients.

• Load planner.

• Plan the transport accordingly.

• Advising the suppliers of the collection / pick up details.

• Negotiating prices with hauliers.

• Booking the deliveries into the respective destinations.

• Raising jobs and assisting admin as required.

• Monitoring deliveries ensuring they are on time

• Advising clients of any delays etc

• Logging and co-ordinating responses to invoice queries.

This is a permanent role, Monday - Friday, hours 08.30-17:00 or 09:00 to 17:30 and occasional Saturdays if required.
