Position: Export Transport Planner

Location: Holywell

Salary: £NEG DOE

Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:15 - 17:00 and Friday 08:15 - 16:00

Contract: Permanent

We are currently recruiting an Export Transport Planner to join our well-established global manufacturing client based in Holywell. You will be responsible for cost effective trailer planning for customers in the UK and across Europe. We are looking for someone with a positive "can do" attitude who is able to come up with solutions to challenges and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

What will you be doing?

Export trailer planning of groupage, part load and full loads
Combining part loads with groupage to ensure the service level expected by customers are met whilst ensuring cost effective transports are arranged
Update and maintain SAP with shipments, costings and manage the self-billing process
Liaise with approved hauliers to confirm availability of trailers for transport of loads
Monitor status of orders in production and modify the transport plan as necessary
Communicate daily with Customer Services on the status of the transport plan
Input and validation of data required for customs clearance
Assist the Transport Planning Manager with investigation of customer complaints
Perform general transport related administration and assist with other departmental activities as required

Skills that will help you in the role:

A strong administration background, ideally within a manufacturing/logistics environment
Previous experience of working in a planning role would be advantageous, however training will be provided
Good level of IT literacy - Excel skills will be required, and a good working knowledge of SAP
'Can do' attitude, get things done, persistent and never ever gives up
Continually looking to develop oneself
Champion the customer's requirements at all times
