Position: Trainee Panel Builder
Location: Haydock
Hours: Days
Salary: £DOE
Our client design, manufacture and distribute low voltage products for commercial and industrial applications around the world, they are currently looking for a Trainee Panel Builder.
The ideal candidate will have:
A safe working knowledge of all hand tools, power tools (including drills and jigsaws) and the use of appropriate PPE.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and 3D visuals from the supplier / company.
Using hand and power tools assemble enclosures to a quality standard at a satisfactory work rate.
From a general arrangement drawing interpret and position components. Mark off for drilling and / or Tapping and final mounting of components, trunking, DIN Rails etc ready for final wiring.
Panel Wiring From a schematic, engineering drawing or Photograph, interpret and produce wiring sets and looms to meet the requirements as set out by the Engineering Manager and company standards.
Capable of interpreting an engineering drawing and from that and physical measurement cut to length, bend and punch copper from copper bar or flexible copper strip.
You should also be able to understand and actively create an environment of safety consciousness and awareness in line with company policies / standards.
You should take full responsibility for your own and others safety by identifying and reporting unsafe practices / procedures.
You should ensure that your work area is clean and tidy at all times and that it is cleared and equipment safely stored at the end of every working day in line with company standards / policies.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential)
You must have undertaken and achieved a recognised apprenticeship and / or had relevant work experience in engineering
Have a vast experience and able to demonstrate the ability to work to the standards expected in a safe and orderly manner.
