FULL-TIME/PERMANENT

We are seeking someone with experience and knowledge to safely and efficiently fulfil selection of customer orders, at our clients site in South Petherton, Somerset.

Reporting to the Stock Manager, within a team of around 5 you will pick timber in pairs of 2 from internal and external storage according to works order paperwork - tallying selected timber and ensuring products are of prescribed quality, produced on time and with minimum wastage.

My client has an established customer base formed from providing over 20 years of good, on time, quality service.

We are looking for somebody who fits into this ethos - providing quality workmanship and working to maintain long lasting relationships with staff, customers and suppliers.

20 days holiday plus bank holidays, with holiday bonus scheme:

Full-Time/Permanent - 40 hours per week - Mon-Fri 7:00am- 16:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Select and sort timber from packs, to customers' cutting lists in a safe, accurate and efficient manner

• Grade timber to ensure it meets product specifications

• Clearly and correctly tally selected timber onto production paperwork / system

• Stack, band and label each completed order safely and presentably

• Ensure work area is kept clean and tidy

• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times

• Other Sawmill / Production tasks as and when required
