Technical Sales Manager

My client is a leading name in the waste and recycling sector. They believe in cultivating both personal and company growth and work hard to maintain an excellent business reputation in an ever-evolving industry. Their team consists of like-minded people with drive helping to design, manufacture and install a variety of equipment in different sectors of the industry.
They are looking for a professional and hardworking individual to join our team as a Technical Sales Manager to plan and deliver sales activities focusing on the North of England. You must be a self-motivated, qualified professional that can consult with both owners and engineers.
This will be about developing long term relationships and working through processes.
North would cover above Birmingham (including North Wales and into Scotland as required) and further afield. Ideally location Manchester
Job Role
Discuss requirements with the client to understand the problem then provide a suitable solution
Source, price and quote suitable equipment
Generate new business sales within specific industry sectors
Account managing current customers allocated to you
Keep a CRM up to date
Achieving sales targets by incremental revenue generation
Using commercial expertise to research and develop markets with specified region
Work collaboratively with others in Design, Marketing and Admin
About you
Good demonstrable experience of generating new sales and account management, ideally with a technical product or in the waste/recycling industry
The ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
The ability to learn and understand the technical nature of our industry and sales
Able to travel on a regular basis
You must be happy to occasionally be onsite in environments that are not very glamorous due to the nature of the industries
£35,000-£40,000 per annum (depending on experience) + commission structure

22+ Christmas closure
Expected start date: ASAP
Bonus upwards £5k in the first year then upwards of £10k the following years.
Generally, the company pay 1% of every sale, it is a very open and fair bonus scheme.
When they get paid a percentage of a job, they pay the bonus due that month.
