Helpline Technician Role Summary To work as part of a team delivering a high quality, cost effective 24-hour monitoring service based within the Helpline Service in the Customer Service Centre in Speke. Key Tasks� To assist in the provision of equipment to older, disabled and vulnerable people in their own homes to enable them to continue to live independently and safely at home � Operate within TSA code of practice � To ensure that the equipment provided meets individual's needs � To complete the necessary documentation to support the installation service � Organise demonstrations to the resident/carer to ensure the equipment is used appropriately and safely � To work both independently and as part of a team � Carry out any other duties as required by your manager � The post holder will be required to work shifts as necessary to ensure the continuous operation of the Helpline service Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience � Experience working in a customer service environment � Holds enhanced DBS check. � Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team � Full driving licence and use of own vehicle Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience � A knowledge of assisted living technologies would be advantageous � NVQ Level 2/3 Customer Service / Business Administration / Information Technology or equivalent � Ability to learn quickly � Experience of working with vulnerable people � Good written and verbal communication skills � Aptitude for technical problem solving Competencies � Deliver the vision: Focuses on the company's goals, understands its direction and contributes to its overall success � Focus on Performance: Takes ownership of the performance and development of themselves, supports the development of others � Strive for Excellence: Continually looks for ways to improve the service provided by self, team and the organisation � Be Commercially Minded: Aware of the need to add value to support economic, sustainable growth for the organisation Additional Information The role holder is expected to be committed to equal opportunities and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken
