Location - Westerham, Kent

HRGO Education is working with a large 'Outstanding' special school in Westerham looking to recruit Student Support Assistants. The roles will be starting in September 2021 and are long-term positions.

The school supports children and young people who have physical disabilities and complex care needs. The ideal person will need to be flexible as you will be working across the primary, secondary, and residential departments.

Your working days will be Monday - Friday, and the hours can vary due to the work being shift work. You will be required to work a minimum of 28 hours a week, but over time can be available if you want to work additional hours.

Previous experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs is desirable but not essential however you must be confident in delivering personal care. Ongoing training will be provided at the school as well as refresher training throughout the year. You will need the following:

• Full driving license (due to location). The nearest village is Oxted and reachable via bus from there.
• DBS (Has to be run for children and adults, none recorded).
• Advantageous to be from a care background

The school is set in beautiful surroundings with many outstanding facilities, and they have a very supportive structure throughout the school to support all pupils and staff.

You will be given Moving and Handling training prior to you starting at the school.
