Supervisor - Stores

Monday to Thursday 7.30- 4.30 12 finish on a Friday

Job Purpose and Reporting

The Stores Supervisor reports to the Senior Production Manager and is responsible for our Goods In area.

Note: This job description may develop and evolve with the business.

The post-holder is expected to carry out the following responsibilities in a pro-active manner and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

Support the Senior Production Manager to Motivate, develop, lead and manage the Stores team

Meet customer demands and quality targets

Liaise with the line Supervisor to ensure deliveries are Goods received in a timely manner

Ensure all stock is located and stored correctly and the correct information is added into Winman

Liaise with the line Supervisor to ensure all Manufacturing orders are picked and delivered in a timely manner to ensure on time deliveries to customers

Carry out regular cycle counts within all areas

Liaise with the line Supervisor on resource issues

Participate in regular team meetings

Ensure Quality and Process Conformance

Ensure Health and Safety compliance

Help to maintain consistent 5S (Sort,Set,Shine,Standardise,Stick) and housekeeping standards in the Stores area

Participate with other Supervisors on Continuous Improvement activities in association with the Senior Production Manager

Actively participate in team or project based activities where required

Communicate effectively with other departments as the work requireDeputise for other Line Supervisors as required

Person Specification

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace

Computer literate in major programs such as MS Word, ExcelGood standard of literacy and numeracy

Experience with ERP systems

Desirable

Forklift licence

Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Organised, able to plan own time and others' against required activity, managing conflicting priorities

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

  • Demonstrable people management skills

  • Methodical approach

  • Ability to use initiative where required

  • Ability to cope well under pressure
