• Job Title: Site Foreman

• Hours: 7.00am to 5.30 Monday to Friday with an unpaid lunch hour. 7.00am to 12.00pm (midday) on Saturday
• Holiday: 28 days per year inclusive of Bank Holidays on a pro rata basis as holiday year operates 1 April to 31 March

HR GO are looking to recruit a Site Foreman to assist in the running of a metal recycling facility in Ashford, Kent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The main duties include the responsibility for the following:

• Manage and oversee site activities on a day-to-day basis.

• Supervise site staff and any sub-contractors on site.

• Ensure all site staff are fully trained in their respective roles within the site and where necessary, advise of additional training needs.

• Ensure site staff and contractors follow all health & safety procedures; a high level of health & safety and housekeeping is maintained across the site.

• Ensure site plant and machinery are checked daily via the daily defect reporting system to ensure they are safe to operate.

• Ensure production is maximised.

• Complete stock takes (audits) as required by the Board of Directors.

• Ensure the site operates within its designated regulatory framework and site license.

• Ensure effective and timely Weighbridge Operations.

• Maintain customer and employee Weighbridge records.

• Operate the Company FRED computer system for all Weighbridge transactions.

• Operate the Weighbridge and office phones.

Qualification / Experience / Skills:

Essential:

• Team management and leadership.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Problem solving.
• Some formal Health & Safety training - IOSH Managing Safely in the Workplace.
• COTC - (WAMITAB) level 4 or willing to work towards.

Desirable:

• Experience / qualification(s) in operating heavy plant would be an advantage but not essential.
• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Previous experience within the metal recycling industry.
