The senior IT engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth running and supporting of IT applications and services within the bank by helping to implement and maintain the servers, networks, data storage and endpoints across the bank. The engineer will also participate in and optimize IT internal operations (Service desk, change requests, backup, and recovery) and document through policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Supervise and manage IT Systems operations (i.e., infrastructure, Data Storage, Network, Endpoints).

• Formulate change requests for IT systems (including hardware and software) based on understanding, analysing and forecasting of needs and demands from the business departments.

• Document operations and management procedures conduct regular reviews and in turn make necessary changes so as to ensure thorough implementation of IT policies.

• Perform security delegation for authorised users on applications and endpoints.

• Formulate IT disaster recovery plans and arrange for relevant tests to ensure that the plan is in compliance with the regulator's requirements.

• Arrange the recovery of IT service when necessary.

• Co-ordinate with Head Office IT department and Data Centre in relation to IT related Projects and Systems and act as liaison between them and business departments.

• Respond to first line IT support calls and emails.

Skills Required:

• Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems (2003/2008/2008R2/2012/2016 Server/XP/Vista/7/8/10);

• Core Microsoft Infrastructure technologies and solutions (Exchange, AD, RDS, DFS).

• Systems virtualization (VMware, vSphere, Hyper-V);

• Backup technologies (Veeam, Backup Exec, System Recovery, Endpoint Protection, LTO).

• Server hardware maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Hardware firewalls and router configuration.

• Switching (HP, Cisco, Juniper).

• System and network monitoring.

• Languages: English and Mandarin; preferable but not mandatory.

Qualifications (Desirable):

• MCSA-Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/Office365.

• MCSE- Microsoft Certified Solution Expert.

• MCITP-Microsoft Certified IT Professional.

• VMware Certified Professional.

• CCNA/CCNP
