Senior Social Care Worker Liverpool £16525 plus Travel We are helping this charity who are dedicated to protecting and promoting the well-being of people aged 50+. Established in 1928, they provide a range of direct services which make life better for local older people. This Home care Service will involve a programme of personal care and household management that is personalised for each customer. All work will be carried out in a manner that enables customers to exercise their rights and will observe and respect the customer's dignity, privacy and independence as far as is practical, enabling the customer to live as independent a lifestyle as possible. The Home Care Senior Social Care will have: * Experience of working alone on a one to one basis * Experience of providing support and care for adults in supported living or outreach environments * Awareness of issues relating to health & safety, with the ability to assess a situation, reduce risks, follow up on issues raised and work out the support someone needs to live successfully in their home and community * Good organisational skills * Ability to deal with any Service User's problems & communicate effectively * Ability to develop relationships, relate to a variety of people, and communicate in a professional & courteous manner * Ability to perform manual handling tasks, where these are required, may include wheelchairs, hoists and will include daily living tasks such as shopping and cleaning * Ability to quickly adapt to working with new customers and environments, pick up new routines and procedures and use own initiative * Friendly personality but aware of professional boundaries * Good communication skills, both written and verbal * Good observational / monitoring skills * Be able to keep confidentiality at all times So if you are an experienced care worker in the Liverpool area and want to progress your career just apply!!
