Job Role: SEND Care Assistant

Location - Westerham, Kent

Pay Rate - 11.00 - 12.00 Per Hour

HRGO Education is in search of SEND Care Assistants with a passion for supporting young people with Complex learning difficulties (PMLD).

HRGO Education is recruiting for a progressive SEND school based in Westerham, Kent. They are seeking Care Assistants to provide 1:1 support to students who will be boarding at the school. The role will include a substantial amount of moving and handling and personal care. Moving and handling training will be provided.

There is parking on-site and the Westerham-based school is a commutable distance from the surrounding areas of Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Caterham, Bromley and Croydon.

This Sevenoaks school was rated "Good" by Ofsted and is well resourced to support the additional needs of their young people with complex learning difficulties (PMLD). The role requires you to work a mixture of early and late shifts on set days from Monday to Friday.

The SEND Care Assistant:

• Supporting pupils in their living areas and around the main school
• Moving and handling and personal care of pupils
• Helping to support class teachers in lessons
• Working well with other members of school staff to provide a safe and fun environment

What you will need for role:

• Previous SEND support/care experience desirable but not essential
• Organised, reliable, friendly, hard-working and resilient with a good sense of humour
• Enhanced DBS or one in progress
