Retail Manager We are currently recruiting for a self motivated, driven and tenacious experienced Retail Manager to join our clients not for profit charity. This is a temporary position, with the chance of a permanent contract for the right candidate. You will be working 5 days per week Monday - Saturday days on a rolling rota. You will be based out of the store in Folkestone, but there may be a need to travel to other stores in the East Kent Area. You will be responsible for the effective operation and performance of the charity shop. * Maintain a high standard of merchandising and a continual flow of stock. * Managing and training volunteers * Enforcing health and safety and security procedures * Implementing and ensuring the growth of gift aid programme in key shops * Receive, sort, prepare, price and rotate and maintain stock of donations for * 5 days Monday to Saturday 09.00 - 17.00 The role requires an adept multi-tasker, who can think on their feet and is prepared to work 'hands-on' with their colleagues and volunteers within the shop. Relationship building is central to attracting and extracting relevant donations. The ideal candidate will possess: * Retail supervisory/ management experience is essential * Educated to a minimum of GCSE level * A current DBS check is desirable * Experience/ knowledge of the voluntary charity sector * A creative flair with an eye for detail, merchandising stock to a high standard * Highly personable with excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Able to relate to staff, customers and volunteers * A self starter, motivated, articulate For more information, and to be considered for the role.
