Position: Repro Technician

Location: Deeside

Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Salary: £24,000-£27,000 PA DOE

Due to continued growth and expansion my client is currently seeking a Repro Technician to join a busy Production/Manufacturing environment on a Permanent basis.

Within the role you will be required to perform all repro related tasks to customer supplied files ensuring that they are press ready and fit for purpose. Please note this is not a design role.

Specific Tasks/Accountabilities

• Maintain health & Safety in the department

• Be fully conversant with adobe illustrator and photoshop both as an artwork and a repro tool in a printer environment

• Be conversant with the Mac OS

• Understand the limitations and advantages of each of the printing processes specifically Flexo

• Retouch for flexo where necessary

• Progress jobs through the MIS system

Skills/Qualifications and Attributes

• Repro planning, retouching, platemaking

• Understanding of Esko automation engine would be an advantage

• Excellent attention to detail

• Lateral thinker, problem solver

• Ability to prioritise

• Be able to work unsupervised

• Repro background

• Mac and associated software i.e., Illustrator, Photoshop experience essential

• Platemaking skills - Desirable
