We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Quality Assurance Technician to work for a rapidly growing manufacturing company. If you have experience working in a quality assurance environment within a manufacturing environment, then this could be for you. On offer is a starting salary of up to £25k with overtime available. Based in Northampton. The Company The company is a market leader in the food packaging sector and work in partnership with the UK's top retailers and brand owners and are behind some of the most successful product launches of recent times. Hours of Work Monday - Friday Alternating shift pattern 06:00-13:00/13:00-20:00 Flexibility essential as there may be occasional Saturdays to cover busy periods. Overtime paid at enhanced rate The Role Reporting directly to the Technical Director you will be working in a quality assurance laboratory and will support the production team ensuring product quality meets the client's standards at all times. 3 months training on all the testing equipment will be provided. The main duties include: * Quality Assurance * Analyse investigate and resolve quality issues * Material testing * Accurate measurement taking * Bond testing * Colour checking * Bar code testing * Technical support for production department * Maintain QA records and procedures * Maintain laboratory supplies & equipment * Analyse and report on quality trends * Analysis, Development and Testing of products, raw materials and packaging * Analyse, monitor and report on technical trials * Process supplier complaints * Good house-keeping acumen The Person The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in either, a manufacturing or a food production environment. * QA experience in manufacturing or food production environment * Able to grasp new testing and analytical procedures * High level of numeracy and accuracy skills * Good IT skills * Excellent communicator * Ability to display both diplomacy and assertiveness * Organised * Reliable and punctual * Quick learner * Able to communicate Location Based in Northampton it is commutable from Wellingborough Daventry Kettering Corby Rushden Raunds Irthlingborough Weedon Package On offer is a starting salary of up to £25k depending on experience.
