HRGO are looking for a number of Quality Assurance Engineers to carry out quality inspections on engine parts for a busy manufacturer based in Daventry. Ideally, as Quality Assurance Engineer, you will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar environment and a good understanding of how to quality check components and carrying out the necessary reporting. Some assembly and dis-assembly involved. Must be good with tools and measuring equipment. Based in Daventry an hourly rate of £10 per hour is on offer. The Company An international diesel engine manufacturer supplying engines to mining, shipping and other sectors Hours of work Monday - Friday 06:45-14:45/15:00-23:00 (22:30 Fri) Rotating shift pattern Flexibility is required as shifts rotate either weekly or bi-weekly Job Description Reporting to the Quality Engineer you will carry out the following day to day duties:- * Inspect and control suspect and defective stock * Unpack components and record serial numbers * Input and report data on the Inventory Management System (Oracle) * Disassemble parts according to drawings * Inspect and clean parts * Reassemble parts (some use of torque wrench) and re-pack The Person You will have at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and have a good engineering acumen. * Manufacturing/engineering background * Experienced with using power tools and torque wrench * Accurate * Good observational skills * Some knowledge of basic engineering drawings advantageous * Basic computer skills * Good communicator * Flexible with approach to work * Able to work indicated shift pattern * Good English verbal and written Location Based in Daventry it is commutable from Northampton Rugby Coventry Wellingborough Kettering Towcester Package On offer is an hourly rate of £10 per hour and the work is ongoing.
