Position: Production Team Leader
Location: Deeside
Hours: Double Days Monday-Friday
Salary: NEG DOE
Due to growth and expansion our client is looking for an experiences Production Team Leader who can supervising, motivating and provide direction to an assembly team, ensuring excellent quality of product that is delivered on time and within the customers expectations. Previous experience within Automotive or Aerospace manufacturing would be an advantage. Primarily shift-based, this role also requires flexibility of movement to different working patterns, as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including Staff Management, below:
Working across the production facility, to ensure the flow of work meets customer deadlines on time and in full
Allocating work and overseeing its execution to production schedule, whilst also improving on standard times
Undertaking operational duties, as required; meeting deadlines as well as covering for staff absence by filling resource shortfalls in all areas
Make certain that cleanliness is maintained within all areas, utilising 5S principles
Maintaining stocks of materials and consumables, implementing the Kanban process, ensuring appropriate storage as required, with cost effective usage whilst also meeting production deadlines by liaising with the logistics team
Ensuring all production equipment is maintained and serviced appropriately by liaising with the Engineering team
In conjunction with the Operations Manager, ensure that production operation complies with current HSE legislation; carrying out re-evaluations, risk assessments and taking prompt action, including any necessary training, whenever appropriate
Working with the Quality department to guarantee skills matrices are regularly updated and displayed within specific areas
Creating monthly reports, detailing performance against defined key metrics (KPI's) e.g. customer deliveries
Proactively supporting management in the implementation of Company policies and procedures
Completion of any work-related tasks, which would be deemed reasonable of this role.
Staff Management
Providing supportive management to coach, develop and motivate
Managing staff leave and working arrangements within the Production team; making sure all operational areas of production are adequately resourced and maintained in a professional and tidy manner
Managing unplanned staff absence, to include conducting of return to work interviews, calculating Bradford Factor scores and highlighting to HR/ Management if further action is required
In agreement with the Operations Manager, take responsibility for the co-ordination of staff training within the Production team
Complete probation reviews and arrange regular performance reviews within the team, implementing improvement plans if required
Conducting disciplinary and grievance investigations, if required.
