Position: Production Manager
Location: Deeside
Hours: Monday-Friday (Days) may need to cover weekends during busy periods
Salary: £34,000-£38,000p/a
We are currently looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead a well established team, the idea candidate will have experience within FMCG but no essential.
You will be required to plan and organise labour resource and equipment availability, for efficient and effective delivery of the weekly production plan. Communicate potential issues to the Site Manager, along with proposed solutions.
Duties
- Allocate and communicate relevant production tasks and plans to all production Team Members.
- Methods of communication to include:
- Notice boards
- Daily briefings
- Shift handovers
- Ongoing verbal communication and instruction
- Monitor both Team and Equipment performance throughout the day, and react to any issues, to ensure resources and production volumes are maximised.
- Issue instructions and tasks to Team Members
- Ensure other departments, e.g. Engineering, Technical and Warehousing, are involved as appropriate.
- Ensure all Health & Safety and Quality requirements are adhered to by all Team Members.
- Plan, allocate and implement the Operator Equipment Maintenance and Cleaning Schedules.
- Monitor both Team and Individual performance and give feedback, including positive feedback, as appropriate. Ensure effective discipline is maintained.
- Grant holidays as appropriate, ensuring effective cover remains to deliver production plan requirements.
- Maintain the Annual Leave and Absence Record spreadsheet
- Conduct Back to Work interviews on the day of return from absence.
- Develop effective training plans for each individual Team Member.
- Report production volumes and downtime figures on a daily basis
- Provide the Site Manager with relevant performance figures and information, including a monthly report.
- Along with the Site Technical Manager, proactively review and monitor existing production and quality procedures and practices, to identify any potential failure points or opportunities for improvement.
- Propose corrective action and timescales as appropriate
