Job Title: PCB Assembler Location: Kingswinford Salary: National Minimum Wage Hours: 8.00am to 4.30 Monday to Friday My client is seeking a PCB Assembler to join their growing workforce in Kingswinford. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working assembling electronics to boards, you will be required to work quickly and accurately. Job description Perform the following duties in assembly of electronic components onto printed circuit boards according to specifications, * You will be required to use hand tools, * Must have the ability to read worksheets and wiring diagrams and verbal instructions, at times you may be required to follow a sample board or follows sample board to determine assembly duties, * Must have knowledge to select components, such as transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors, and integrated circuits. Required Experience/Skills * Twists, bends, trims, strips, or files wire leads of components or reams holes in boards to insert wire leads, using hand tools. Crimp wire leads on underside of board, using hand tools press. * Inserts color-coded wires in designated holes and clinches wire ends, using pliers. * Solders wire leads and joints on underside of board, using soldering iron, to route and connect lead wires to board and between individual components. * Press-fits component leads onto board. * Places plastic insulating sleeves around specified wire leads of components and shrinks sleeves into place, using heat gun. * Apply sealer or masking compound to selected parts of board to protect parts from effects of wave solder process. * Solders wire leads and joints on underside of board, using soldering iron, to route and connect lead wires to board and between individual components. * Install heat sinks, sockets, faceplates, and accessories on boards, using hand tools.
