Planning Engineer - Aerospace manufacturing Opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading aerospace Precision engineering companies, playing a key role in the development and timely delivery of appropriate, financially viable engineering solutions. Working as part of a team in close collaboration with the site manager, purchasing and other engineers, you will oversee the planning of projects, estimate timescales for delivery, monitor progress and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with your plan and the customer's needs. As part of this pivotal role, you will: * Meet with the client for project meetings and discussions. * Interpret the customer's drawings and specifications and, using your understanding of quality and regulatory standards, incorporate them into the engineering plan. * Formulate a plan which ensures the most effective sequence of events is followed, utilising the most appropriate engineering methods. * Collaborate with other team members to oversee the delivery of the project, overcoming any problems that may arise. * Produce reports to communicate any areas of concern and to offer solutions to mitigate risks. You will have previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment, which ideally will be aviation. You also need to have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
