Our Client is recruiting a Payroll and Systems Administrator with experience in data compliance coordination. This is an incredibly varied position with 2 main purposes to the role: To prepare and run a monthly payroll covering c500 employees over two sites, together with the responsibility to administer and maintain 2 internal database systems that covers all payroll & personal data for all employees, as a 'Super User'. The other purpose is to ensure that all personal data captured across the business is held in a manner and format that is consistent and GDPR compliant. Reporting to the Payroll & Systems Manager, you will be an experienced payroll practitioner, including experience of running an end to end payroll process for the payroll administration element and have the working experience with different data sets, method of storage and reporting for the data compliance coordination aspect of the role. Payroll duties will include the reconciliation of monthly payroll changes, management of all 3rd party payment e.g. HMRC, SSP etc and the collation, calculation and processing of all permanent and variable payroll elements e.g. DPs, overtime, bonuses, etc. Data compliance responsibilities will include the review and updating of current policies, processes, documentation and reports - recommending changes in line with good practice and/or changing legislation. Essential requirements will include strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse groups of staff, research and analytical skill and the ability to influence and successfully persuade staff at all levels to adopt new operating practices.
