We are looking for a Payroll Assistant for our client based in Folkestone, to assist in the delivery of monthly payroll services to all UK employees and retirees. This service takes the form of preparation, manipulation and validation of time date, salary and other data submitted by HR, Line Managers, Time Management System (TMS) administrators, employees and statutory bodies during the monthly payroll process. You Must have a qualification in payroll practices and/or at least 3 years' experience working in a busy payroll environment. Previous experience of integrated HR/Payroll/Time Recording systems is required; experience of SAP HR/Payroll would be an advantage but not essential.
Key Responsibilities

Analyse and intervene where necessary in the SAP time and payroll system to make corrections to employee time data (absence and attendance records) in accordance with audit requirements.

Assist in the validation of HR data changes e.g. new employee records, contractual amendments, terminations.
*
Process leavers' final payments, adhering to Company and statutory requirements.
*
Administer monthly payroll adjustments, collating information from internal and external sources, including overtime payments from the TMS system, manual payments from the Planning Departments, data from the Pensions Department etc.

Respond to pay and benefit queries from employees and managers.
*
Assist in the processing of ESL payroll (circa 950 employees) and Pensioners' payrolls (circa 500 retirees) using the SAP HR/Payroll software.
*
Assist in the administration of statutory payments (SMP, SSP) and year-end processing (P60, P11D).
*
Assist in the completion of all post-payroll administrative tasks e.g. third-party payments including reporting and online administration, payslip distribution, monthly RTI processes, monthly management information reporting, provision of monthly and ad-hoc data for financial accounting etc.
This is a permanent role, 9.00am - 5.30, Monday to Friday.
