Bus - D1/D Drivers Pay Rate - £7,600 per annum (pro rata) Location - Takeley Working days - 20 hours per week (term time only) Job responsibilities: * Safe transportation of passengers to either mainstream or special needs schools, adult day care centres, service bus routes and/or ad hoc runs * To carry out first use checks daily for any vehicle to be driven; to complete either a NIL defect sheet or report any defects found before driving any vehicle off site * To report any defects which appear whilst driving as soon as it is safe to do so, and record in the off-site defect duplicate book * To ensure the vehicle is kept fuelled, and clean; to ensure all receipts are handed into the office within one week of purchase * To safely transport passengers via agreed pick up points * To report any incidents involving the vehicle or passengers immediately * If on a school run, to check children have passes * If on a school run, any problems with the children should immediately be reported to the office * If required to take any payment, this should be handed in to the office at the end of your shift/start of next shift * To ensure appropriate use of tachograph (if applicable); present to office for copying within 2 working days * To cooperate with 3 monthly driving licence checks; to report any changes to driving licence immediately * To work with a Passenger Assistant if required * To undergo any training as may be required by the Company or by the appropriate authority, including CPC training Skills & Qualifications: * Full UK driving licence * Must have a fully checkable work record in order to gain an enhanced DBS check and local authority badge * Able to work calmly under pressure * Excellent time keeping To apply for this position, please email a copy of your CV to laura.baxter@hrgo.co.uk and state if it is D or D1 you are interested in.
