HRGO Education are recruiting for Outreach Teaching Assistants (Also known as SEN Learning Assistants / Support Workers) for our client based in Chelmsford, Essex.
Although our client's head office is based in Chelmsford you'll be required to work at students' homes and colleges in one of these locations.
Chelmsford - Harlow - Saffron Walden - Braintree - Basildon - Thurrock - Southend - Colchester
Your role will be to provide support to college-aged students (16 - 19) with a range of special education needs, this might be a range of needs including social and personal issues or in an area such as Autism, Asperger's syndrome, Global development delay or downs syndrome.
Some of the young adults you will work with have anxiety and social development needs, so you'll be a key person in their life to help overcome this.
These students spend a lot of time learning in subjects they enjoy. This could be farming, fishing, horticulture, floristry, gaming, gym, outdoor learning, and lots more.
Any hobby you have might be an interest to the student, but you will 100% have to get involved daily with things they love doing!

Pay & Working Hours
Sessional or relief Outreach Teaching Assistants are typically paid between £9.50 and £11.50 per hour. Income figures are intended as a guide only.
Full-time Teaching Assistants usually work between 32 & 35 hours per week. Starting the school day at 8.30am and finishing at 3.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. There are also part-time, casual and job share options available.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, but it may become permanent at a later date upon school discretion.
