Sussex Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for an experienced .Net Developer to support business applications within a niche retail sector. The role will be building new and enhancing existing applications. You will have the chance to work on the full application stack (web, mobile and desktop front-ends, back-end, integration APIs and server work). The role primarily consists of development of our client's flagship product, which is a mature but still evolving VB.Net WinForms application, backed by Microsoft SQL Server. Projects range from minor maintenance to major new functional development on this application. Other projects include maintenance of mobile apps and ecommerce site integration, plus new bespoke projects as the role progresses. You won't be expected to know everything, but the ideal candidate will have both the key skills and be a quick learner! As a growing small business there is plenty of variety in this role as the company is continuously adapting its products to meet changes in the marketplace. Whilst not essential, there will be additional opportunities for a candidate with experience, working with the Magento back-end (API, developing extensions etc) or mobile app development experience (Ionic framework / Angular 5).
