HRGO Recruitment are working alongside our Award-winning client in Newcastle and are looking to recruit a Team Manager within the National Careers Service on a fixed-term basis. The Team Manager heads up a team of advisers to ensure they are working to the highest standard possible and also motivate their staff to ensure customer satisfaction. Team Managers are also responsible for management of all staff issues including sickness and attendance, coaching and mentoring of staff. The successful candidate will be expected to work within a targeted quality framework and also motivate staff to the best of their ability. In addition to this, operational management is a large part of the role. Working with the other Team Managers, the successful candidate will be accountable for operational service management to meet KPI standards in all areas on a strategic and daily real time basis, including but not limited to; response rates, transfer volumes, uptime, call recording, updates to customers, customer satisfaction and outcomes. Floor walking and maintaining management presence is a large part of the role. Team Managers are also involved in other HR activities as required, such as attending and chairing investigation and disciplinary meetings. Key Skills and Abilities:- * An understanding of operational performance * Ability to work independently, often to tight deadlines * Ability to work within defined quality guidelines and to maintain good practices at all times * Ability to gather data from a range of qualitative and quantitative sources * Ability to analyse data, identify trends and investigate the cause of those trends * Self-motivation with an eye for detail * Confident communication skills with an aptitude for communicating with large and small audiences alike * Excellent time management skills * Ability to deal with safeguarding and child protection issues in a calm and confident manner while adhering to process * Confident with Microsoft packages, including Excel * Ability to use multiple systems to extract data * Ability to address behavioural issues in a professional, composed way * Proficient in data and information security practices The successful candidate must be educated to degree level or a minimum of a Level 4 qualification and work experience within the sector. Knowledge of the National Careers Service would be advantageous or a background a similar setting. You must have line management experience and also coaching and mentoring experience.
