HR GO Recruitment are currently looking for a Medical Secretary to work for client which are based locally in Ashford. The main purpose of this role will be to provide Medical Secretarial Services for both consultants and practitioners at the Hospital.

Main Duties:

  • Record patient documentation accurately, in line with finance and billing of patients.

  • Ensuring full capacity of clinics is achieved

  • Answering all telephone/email enquiries, relay messages and liaise with consultants, secretaries and other internal departments

  • Make sure that that all policies and legal requirements relating to clinical care, Data Protection and Health and Safety are complied with at all times

  • Build and maintain a unique service for patients and local service users.

  • Preparing clinic lists and case notes, ensuring all results and investigation reports are available

  • To assist in the provision of a discreet, sympathetic and professional patient service.

The ideal candidate:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical and secretarial background is essential for this role

  • Maths and English GCSE at Grade C (or equivalent) is essential

  • Qualifications within the medical secretary position would be advantageous

  • Must be able to audio type

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team

This role will be working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, working on average 37.5 hours per week

Salary for this position is £20,806 per annum
