My client is seeking a candidate who is IT literate, articulate, and has previous experience booking in and distributing goods.
Medical Distribution Assistant skills required:
- Must hold a Full UK driving licence
- Ability to present information concisely and clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to create and maintain high level and accurate records
- Essential Microsoft office package, data entry and basic database management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads using methodical and systematic approach
- Experience or ability of working with a range of different professions at all levels of responsibility within organisations.
- Experience of development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Experience of completing risk assessments
- Ability to respect sensitive and confidential information.
- Flexibility to travel
- Ability to deal with and resolve conflict
Medical Distribution Assistant duties include:
- Provide a high-quality pharmaceutical service to all services users of the Trust under the direction of the Medicine Management Supervisor and Medicines Management Lead
- Provide a medicines distribution service to Ambulance stations throughout the Trust, participating in the re-stocking of medicines against set parameters and the delivery and collection of medications from stations across the East of England NHS Trust sites.
- Record, audit and report on the use and compliance of medicines from across the Trust
- Assist with investigations into Medicine Management related incidents.
- Note all discrepancies on deliveries and report them to the relevant person(s) ensuring a full account of the outcome is passed on to the Medicines management team.
- Identify, record and dispose of expired goods as required by Trust procedures.
- Report back concerns regarding, sensitive and sometimes contentious situations where specialist advice and instructions have been delivered to a wide range of groups, requiring them to understand and adapt working practices which may affect patient care and service delivery.
