Role: MBT Waste Operative

What is the purpose of this role?

To work in a small team over two shifts to continuously monitor the processing of household waste through the Mechanical Biological Treatment Plant (MBT) at Waterbeach, through various phases of mechanical separation.

Taking quality samples of stock & processed material for in-process testing, liaising with control room staff to ensure the plant is delivering at the highest efficiency to separate recyclable materials from waste streams.

Completing maintenance checks on various pieces of Plant Equipment., through a digital tablet Maintenance Management System & carrying out the work to which they are allocated to the required standards, including avoiding risks to the environment.

always Working in accordance with relevant risk assessments and safe working methods, taking into account site hazards on the day, and using the appropriate supplied safety clothing.

Reporting of all incidents, close calls, any unsafe acts or unsafe situations seen on site to Line Manager.

We are looking for motivated & energetic individuals to join us at our Waterbeach site, full training will be provided for this role, with further exciting opportunities for completing training within other elements of the business, and consequently, the opportunity to earn higher rates of pay.

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday - fortnightly rotating

Mornings - 05:45hr - 14:15hr x 2 weeks

Then

Afternoons - 13:45hr - 22:15hr x 2 weeks

Rate of pay: £10.75 Per Hour

Overtime Available, opportunities for training and permanent positions and further progression available for right candidate.
