HRGO are looking for a Materials Movement Operator for our prestigious client based in Folkestone. The Materials Movement Operator will be responsible for the safe loading, unloading and storage of materials, including housekeeping in the Units and Yard. The successful candidate will be responsible for ordering and storage of pallets, ensuring correct pallets are used appropriately. Main Duties * Complete daily MHE check sheets. * Undertake regular FLT training and refresher courses. * Undertake FLT gas refuelling training and ensure sufficient levels are maintained * Undertake Banksman training. * Create manifests for Export and Domestic finished goods trailers. * Use scanning equipment when installed at WBR to create automated manifests * Check deliveries and confirm materials into units on SAP. * Order Kanban and consumables on SAP. * Safely load and unload pallets, components and finished goods on trailers. * Understand loading requirements, including weights and restrictions, strapping and sheeting * Undertake stock checks and accurately complete all PC/paper documentation. * Complete GMP/Work Place Standard checks. * Ensure daily/weekly cleaning regimes are adhered to. * Participate in Lean Manufacturing projects. * Mentor and Training other team members. * Manage products for monthly staff giveaways and keep storage area to required standard. * Organise and undertake any non-standard jobs, as requested. * Report and escalate any MHE issues identified to the Shift Manager. Skills * Ability to work well in and team and under own initiative. * Good understanding of, and ability to communicate in, both verbal and written English. * Basic understanding of mathematics. * Excellent communication and people skills. * Computer literate, including printing labels required for Production orders. * Good problem-solving skills. Shifts for the Material Movement Operators are 4 on 4 off,as a permanent role and a 6 month fixed term position is available for night shifts. You must be able to work under your own initiative and demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
