Location: Alconbury Salary 31-32K Hours: Monday to Friday Report to: Chief Engineer Purpose of Role: To maintain the day-to-day operations and to assume responsibility for all the engineering aspects including maintenance,projects and set-up of plant equipment and property under the direction of the Chief Engineer Main duties: * Ensure all maintenance work is carried out with due regard to the safety of employees adhering to relevant regulations * Drive efficiency improvements be reducing downtime * Improve product change over procedures using SMED procedures * Control any contractors on site ensuring all documentation is available * Help maintain all maintenance records ensuring all documentation is available * Help maintain all maintenance records ensuring all documentation is in place and up to date * To Help build and maintain a cost effective spare parts store * Work with Operations Manager to reduce machine and processing problems in order to improve out efficiency * Develop working relations with other teams * Work with line operators: training, supervising and coaching on set up and line maintenance * Fault finding and diagnostics, electrical mechanical on high speed process -lines Key Performance Indicators: * Budget: be able to supply and maintain costings * Availability * PPM Completion Skills/Experience * Fully qualified, time served apprenticed engineer, multi-skilled: Electrical and mechanical * PLC Experience essential * 17th Edition * 3 Phase Experience/Knowledge * Good verbal written and communication skills * Used to working on own initiative * Flexible and forward thinking * Logical and methodical approach to workload with high regard to safety * Able to work as part of a team * Must be able to work to deadlines * Flexibility required with hours through peak periods To apply for this role through HRGO Recruitment please click on the "apply button" HRGO Recruitment offers permanent and temporary jobs across the UK - visit hrgo.co.uk to get in touch with your local branch for more opportunities
