HRGO Recruitment are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their client based in County Durham. The successful candidate will be responsible for the continuous running of equipment, machinery and plant services and also management of repairs and inspection of all machinery including plant equipment, LEV's, Fire Alarm and Lighting Tests. Key Roles and Responsibilities:- * Creating, Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance programmes for all plant equipment including but not exclusive to LEV's, Fire Alarm, Lighting, & all production machines. * Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner with a positive attitude. * Diagnose machine / process problems quickly with a view to sustaining production while looking to resolve. * Dealing with emergencies and unplanned repairs which may occur out of normal working hours. * Supervise any onsite repairs that need to be carried out by external sources (Sub contractors) * Obtaining competitive quotes for repairs, Spares, fixtures & fittings. * Managing stocks of supplies to ensure critical machines are kept running at all times. * Implement & manage a full preventative maintenance schedule for all machines & processes throughout the plant. * Implement & manage a reporting process for all machine / process faults. The successful candidate must be a qualified electrical/mechanical engineer with working knowledge of Gas. A background in fabrication with knowledge of Lasers, Plasma, Burner, Press Brakes, Punch, Shot blast and paint line equipment would be advantageous. You must be proactive and have a positive approach to the work you do, resolving situations as they arise. You must be able to work on your own initiative, but also be a team player.
