Machine Shop Supervisor

Machine Shop Supervisor required for this busy, established Precision engineering company. The role supports the production manager in ensuring the expanding shop floor is organised and any problems effecting efficiency of production are dealt with quickly.

Key areas of the role include:

  • Assisting with the planning of production loading across the factory

  • Being aware of progress on all machines to ensure customer deadlines are met.

  • Organising machinery maintenance

  • Supporting the CNC machinists and assembly staff with any problems, identifying training needs

  • Measuring efficiency's and helping with continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Using your experience to support new plant specification and identification.

We are looking for someone with a solid background in CNC Machining, an understanding of lean manufacturing and proven supervisory experience in a larger machine shop environment. You should have excellent communication and people management skills.
