Position: Machine / Production Operative

Location: Warrington

Salary: £9.00 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday 7am-3pm

Overview:

The primary function of the Blast Operator is to operate blasting equipment to remove scale, paint and other foreign substances.

Responsibilities:

• Operates stationary blasting equipment to remove scale and other foriegn substances from
• Removes foreign matter from grit
• Dismantles parts of machines to remove foreign matter when stopped up
• Communicate with supervisors as needed
• Comply with established safety policies, support continuing safety awareness for safety, and when possible recommend specific changes and improvements to health and safety policies and programs.
• Prior to performing any work employee is responsible to make sure he/she is using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follow all personal safety, environmental, and hazardous material handling procedures and guidelines.
• Keep area organized and clean.
• Verify that grit-blasting equipment is in acceptable working order.
• Ensure the proper blast media and pressure are utilized.
• Ensure in-process inspection equipment is within calibration.
