We are looking for 6 machine operatives for a manufacturing site in Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity and one not to be missed if this is your skill set
The shifts are 4 on 4 off shift pattern running , 12 hour shifts 7am - 7pm x 2 days then 7pm - 7am x 2 nights then 4 off. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF THESE SHIFTS ARE NOT FOR YOU
The training rate is £10.34 rising to £12.35 when trained, it takes approx 3 months of training to be a competent machine operator . We require experience in a similar manufacturing or machine operating experience , and if you have any basic CNC operating experience this work be an advantage
We require a good job history, not too many changes. Ability to read and write in English and some basic level Maths. We will test these skills at interview .
The holiday are 21 days annual rising to 25 over 4 years. This calculates and 232 hours (29 days x 8 hours) in the first year(prorated to start date).
Pension is auto enrolment 4% from Company 5% from employee, free parking on site. Work wear provided.
Responsibilities include:
Participating in all aspects of the day to running of high-volume performance machine.
Preparing the machines for production
Cleaning the work area and machinery between production runs
Monitoring production to eliminate or reduce waste and down time.
Accurately recording production data for use throughout the business, using the Company's in-house computer system
Weighing, measuring and labelling finished products and locating accurately to storage points
Work closely with the Engineering team on maintenance projects and repairs.
Maintaining or Increasing production,
Participating in cost saving and process improvements project in order to improve quality standards, safety and output,
Maintain health & Safety for self and others at all times
